 “What will be the impact of changing climate on water quality and quantity in Maumee River watershed in 21st century?” is the major research question that I am addressing through my PhD. While answering these questions,I am also checking the effectiveness of the most widely used stochastic weather generators in simulating the long-term climate data, which is already published in Climate, MDPI in March 2017. Besides, I worked on side project to optimize the number of realization to run the stochastic weather generator to simulate the long term climate values which has characteristic similar to the observed data, the publication for which is already submitted in the Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment. I am second author in it. Furthermore, an article titled “Weather generator utilization in climate impact studies: Implications for water resources modelling”, in which I am  co-author is accepted for publication in European Water Resource Journal. I am  working on finding an effective way to correct the bias of the public available future climate data used in most hydrologic studies in last 5 years for its use in process based hydrologic model to assess the water quality and quantity under different climate scenarios for 21st century. The work will be submitted in peer review journal soon. The way the Soil and Water Assessment tool will be set up for my dissertation, it is anticipated that the contribution of subsurface flow in adding nutrient and sediments to Lake Erie can be quantified in a better way, especially the tile drain contribution, which covers 70% or more part in Maumee River Watershed. The dissertation will generate a reliable climate data set for the entire Western Lake Erie Basin. In addition, it will answer questions for stakeholders and policy makers to make decisions on right placement of best management practices at right time to mitigate the depleting water quality conditions in Lake Erie.

In addition, my past research projects was based on used on biodegradable colored plastic mulches in changing plant microenvironment and conserving water with no compromise in yield and quality of produce is well acknowledged. I published a book chapter out of it in Best management Practices: Drip Irrigated Crops with title “use of mulches in soil moisture conservation: a review”. In addition, an abstract related to the same study is published in Agricultural Mechanization in Asia, Africa, and Latin America (AMA) with title Impact of Colored Plastic Mulches on Plant Light Environment, Soil Temperature and Yield of Bell Pepper under Field Conditions in volume 2014:83. My Bachelor work is published in Journal of Food Processing and Technology in 2014. Besides, I published in Hydrogeology, Climate, and Hydrology Current Research in 2015-16.

Overall, I have so far five published peer review articles and one book chapter and has presented his research at many local, national, and international conferences. I have even once written grant for Graduate Student Grant Program under USDA- SARE (United States Department of Agriculture-Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education).

My research plans is to assess and estimate the impacts of variable climatic condition on water resources at national and global level working on the same lines in future as well, to address all the adversities related to water.
