About

Subhasini D C (September 29, 1993) is a high achiever who is committed to pursuing a career in research. She’s currently enrolled in SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM-IST), where she is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Nanotechnology with an emphasis in water treatment. She has a passion for science & technology and looking forward to learning and unlearning on this topic from experts.

Previously, she had worked with Watsan Envirotech Pvt Ltd., as a Researcher to assist in new product development for dye effluent treatment and to develop microbial consortia for solid sewage treatment. Also Coordinated a Newton Bhabha-funded project with academic partners - PSG College and Open University, UK for implementing pilot scale wastewater treatment. And also, worked as Assistant Manager (R&D) at JS Water Energy Life Co Pvt Ltd., where she was involved with the team in formulating their patented products.

She joined NCC as a cadet during her undergraduate program and obtained her ‘C’ certificate as Cadet Under Officer in 2015. Also, a member of Thulir Welfare Association – Avadi, who volunteers to work on disaster management.

Her Academic interest lies in the field of water treatment and industrial effluent management. She has her own vision to start her own water servicing company to contribute to a better environment and provide access to safe water for all.
