- More than 28 years of experience in the water and wastewater sector especially in Integrated Water Resources Management, Water and Sanitation (WASH), public health, irrigation, water governance and rural development, green economy policies, utility finance, institutional capacity building, monitoring and evaluation, coordination, policy dialogue, urban water utility management, utility organization and management, asset management, corporatization, and human resources development and social and economic development;
- Genderanalysis,ruralandurbandevelopmentandcapacity building of Government staff and targeted groups on gender mainstreaming
- Capacity building for water/wastewater sector to support appraisal and review from a technical perspective
- Reviewing water efficiency for irrigation and wastewater projects submitted and facilitate the timely review of projects
- Preparation of high-quality bankable projects, sub-projects and loan documentation
- Experience in green credit lines and improvement of borrowing conditions for SMEs by working with national development funds and commercial banks to enhance interest rates and reduce collateral requirements
- Experience in private finance initiative (PFI) and development of specific PFI technical assistance facilities
- Setting up procedures for providing loans to water users associations to finance improvements of irrigation facilities
- Provide technical assistance and capacity building for both banks staff and water users’ associations in Egypt and African countries
- Experience in Environmental and Social Standards (ESSs) and Environmental and Social Commitment Plan (ESCP)
- Experience in Resettlement Policy Framework (RPF) and Stakeholder Engagement Plan (SEP)
- Experience in Mid-Term and end of projects evaluation with different donors especially EU
- Experience in developing National Irrigation Master Plan involving different stakeholders; national staff and donors
- More than 12 years’ experience in WASH institutional development, including the development and implementation of capacity building plans for organizations
- More than 15 years’ experience in the aqua systems for agriculture production, including capacity development for smallholder farmers and rural women
- Experience in the MENA region and Sub-Saharan Africa transition economies and fragile and post-conflict states
- Substantive specific experience with World Bank, USAID, EU, DFID, UNICEF, GIZ, IFAD, JICA financing modalities
