The 28th International Scientific Conference “Danube – River of Cooperation” under the title “CULTURE ON THE RIVER BANKS” marking also the EUROPEAN HERITAGE DAYS and the WORLD RIVERS DAY – 2017 was held in September 22-24, 2017 – Municipality Zemun with accompanying programs in other municipalities of Belgrade.

The aim of the conference was to promote major projects and project ideas in the field of sustainable use of natural resources and cultural-historical resources along the rivers in the Danube region, but giving examples from worldwide experiences, too. We will publish all works, presentations and papers in the compendium to be published later on a DVD. But we would like to publish some of them first and immediately in “Danubius”.
We are publishing now the presentation of the well-known expert on green economy issues, Robert Brears, who could not be in person with us, so Mirjana Jocic from Belgrade interpreted very successfully Brears' presentation at the Conference.
